A logo can sometimes make or break the branding of a new home community. When designing the new logo for Millworks in Novato, I knew color was key in starting this brand off right and attracting the desired audience. Novato offers a rich farming history, but is quickly becoming a modern destination for many San Francisco workers. I blended this kind of contemporary nostalgia using warm tones and a welcoming and simple front door design. Since Millworks is an environmentally sustainable development, I used natural earth tones and a simple but fun font to introduce the community to Novato’s new neighbor.
